Spring Basket Decor- 5 Ways

Spring Basket Decor

A pretty little basket filled with flowers and foliage has a ton of charm and is a lovely touch for spring. I grabbed this French Market Basket and played a bit with ideas for where to enjoy it. From the front door to the staircase- sharing a few ideas for spring basket decor in the house.

French Market Foliage

Something fun about this basket of blooms? This is a piece from my collection with Balsam Hill. I designed the French Market Collection for them a couple of years ago. There is a garland, arrangement, several wreath sizes, swag and this cute little hanging basket. You might remember I used the 22″ wreath in this table arrangement. You can see more of this post HERE

And the garland and arrangements on the table.

But today it is all about my favorite piece in the collection- this basket.

What I love

I love the sage foliage and lavender blooms- and of course, the charming basket with long jute ribbons and bows. I also love how versatile it is for using in so many different places. Even on a table as part of a centerpiece.

1. On a peg shelf

Simple and sweet- and simply sweet. I placed this basket on the peg shelf in the bathroom and it brought a lovely spring touch.

Tip: Think outside the box when hanging wreaths, arrangements or even artwork- hooking them onto a peg shelf brings a charming touch.

2. On the Stair wall

This is such a simple way to dress up the staircase area. With the garland on the railing or without – both work beautifully.

3. On a cupboard

One of my favorite looks for a cupboard- dried flowers, a wreath or a basket of blooms to dress it up a bit.

Simplicity is key with this look- since there is likely a lot going on in the background inside the cupboard – choosing something simple like a basket adds oomph without overwhelming.

4. In a Market Cart

This is such a fun way to create a charming little moment in an entry, porch or even hallway. Simply play the basket inside of a market cart and set anywhere you would like to add a spring touch. I also tucked a swag in behind the basket to fill it in- and I left the basket visible to show you how to create the look- but when displaying- simply line the basket or wrap the foliage with a piece of burlap if you don’ don’t want to see it.

5. On the Door

Of course, this one is an easy one. A basket of blooms is perfect on the front door- or any door for that matter. Looking for something a little different? Hang the basket on a door Inside the house for an unexpected spring moment.

Of course, any door will do for a beautiful backdrop.
