Yorkshire-based interiors specialist Ben Johnson Interiors has reported a turnover of more than £7m in a nine-month period, following the completion of several high-profile commercial fit-out projects across the UK. The company, which has offices in York and Newcastle, generated this revenue between March and December 2025 and is on target to build on this success in 2026.
Recent projects include supporting the Leeds office relocation of Sweco, Europe’s largest architecture and engineering consultancy, to a 15,000 sq ft space at 1 Whitehall Riverside. Ben Johnson Interiors designed and created a modern working environment, complete with a striking reception area, workspaces, and social hubs.
The company has also transformed the 2,185 sq ft reception area at 2 City West in Leeds into a functional and welcoming space with a boutique, hotel-inspired feel, on behalf of Davlea Estates. Additionally, they have delivered a full fit-out and furniture package in an 18,000 sq ft space within Next’s headquarters in Leicester.

This project involved converting a previously vacant two-storey concrete shell into a modern, high-performance employee hub, complete with a new canteen, restaurant, and state-of-the-art training centre. They have also delivered a new medical facility and doctors’ surgery in Sheffield, on behalf of One Medical, which included a full category A fit-out and category B fit-out with specialist medical treatment areas and furniture.
Ben Johnson Interiors has been part of Yorkshire’s business community since 1855, although its roots were initially in printing. Today, the company is focused on creating workplaces and specialist environments for organisations across the UK, including well-known large-scale commercial property landlords such as Davlea Estates. The company has also worked on projects for Rockstar Games, SpaMedica, and Keepmoat Homes, among others.
According to the company’s director, Emma Dodsley, Ben Johnson Interiors relaunched and rebranded in March 2025, which reflects the business it has become. The company is now building its presence in London, with current projects for transport company Arriva and L&Q, one of the UK’s largest housing associations and residential developers.
