Austin’s Bouldin Creek neighborhood has a new boutique hotel. The Inn at Green Pastures sits on a historic estate, blending modern design with heritage. The hotel opened in December 2025, offering 63 guest rooms, dining, and event spaces. Located just minutes from South Congress Avenue and South First Street, it adds a fresh destination to one of Austin’s longest-standing hospitality landmarks.
A Historic Estate Reimagined
The Green Pastures estate dates back to 1895, starting as a farmhouse. It became a beloved restaurant in 1946. The new hotel expands this legacy, designed by Clayton Korte. It’s part of a master plan that includes Mattie’s restaurant, restored from the original farmhouse. This master plan, led by Clayton Korte, ensures the estate’s historic charm is preserved while introducing contemporary elements that enhance its appeal.
The hotel’s design respects the estate’s history. It features a three-storey, L-shaped building under a canopy of 220 heritage oak trees. Parking is underground, keeping the focus on the gardens and trees. This thoughtful layout ensures the natural beauty of the estate remains the focal point, seamlessly integrating the hotel into its surroundings.

The hotel’s architecture is both functional and respectful. Large roof overhangs made of steel and wood shield the building from Austin’s sun. The trees provide natural shade, cooling the property. Guest areas face a private pool, offering views and a break from city life. West-facing guest areas open onto a private pool courtyard, creating outdoor spaces that enjoy views across the environment while giving visitors a welcome break from the nearby city streets.
Inside, the design draws from the surrounding natural setting. Deep greens and rich browns create a warm atmosphere. These tones are paired with floral wallcoverings, pinstripe upholstery, and custom white oak millwork. The result is a refined yet inviting space. High ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows fill the guest rooms with natural light, while rich hardwood flooring, marble sinks, and deep bathtubs continue the raised material palette, giving visitors the comforts of home within a boutique hotel setting.

The all-day restaurant and bar, Henry’s, serves both guests and locals.
